This is an opportunity for dramaturgs who are interested in discovering new ways to deepen their practice and expand their dramaturgical toolkit. Facilitated by visiting Fulbright Scholar and dramaturg Dr Kristin Leahey, this exchange will offer a survey of varied modes of dramaturgical practice as they exist in North America primarily. Participants will have the opportunity to explore how these modes compare and contrast with those in play development and production in Ireland and the UK, and how dramaturgs in Ireland might use this knowledge to apply multiple approaches in their own dramaturgical practice.
This opportunity is for dramaturgs at any career stage. You must be based on the island of Ireland and have at least one production dramaturgy credit to participate. It is free and will be held in person in Dublin City Centre. Spaces are limited.
