NOTES: From the 30th September to 8th October the Abbey Theatre hosted An International Theatre Seminar. The subject of the seminar was to explore the value and influence of the National Theatre idea on the international theatre scene; and to re-examine the revolutionary aspects of nationality on the theatre, past, present and to come. On Thursday, 5th October there was "A Brecht Evening" where the Abbey Theatre presented a filmed extract from the Berliner Ensemble Production of " The Day of the Commune" by Brecht and Brecht songs and ballads performed by Agnes Bernelle.
