This August, see the Abbey Theatre like never before in this brand-new experience.
The National Theatre of Ireland is opening its doors to allow you to meet the people & processes which bring your favourite plays to life.
Go behind the scenes to meet our theatre experts across Costumes, Props, Lighting, Sound, and Stage Production and explore their spaces across our historic building. Suitable for everyone over the age of 14, this guided experience will bring you on a journey with our team as we turn words on the page into a spectacle on the stage!
Times & Details
- 9.30 am: Doors open, with coffee and snacks available for sale at our café and some surprises to be discovered in the Abbey bar from 10am.
- 11:30 am – 2.00 pm: Pull back the curtain on the world of the National Theatre and uncover the secrets of our theatre makers
